![]() DATES Gods Of War I starts on July 5th 2009 and will end on August 16th 2009 SPOTS 64 open spots. FORMAT 64 players, single elimination, while top players (decided by admins) will be seeded and rest with random seed. DEADLINES All games of first round should be finished and uploaded by July 12th 23.59 GMT. All games of second round should be finished and uploaded by July 19th 23.59 GMT. All games of third round should be finished and uploaded by July 26th 23.59 GMT. All games of fourth round should be finished and uploaded August 2nd 23.59 GMT. All games of fifth round should be finished and uploaded August 9th 23.59 GMT. All games of finals should be finished and uploaded August 16th 23.59 GMT. ADMIN TIMES In case people don't get into a scheduling agreement there are admin times: First round admin time is on July 11th at 15.00 GMT. Second round admin time is on July 18th at 15.00 GMT. Third round admin time is on July 25th at 15.00 GMT. Fourth round admin time is on August 1st at 15.00 GMT. Fifth round admin time is on August 8th at 15.00 GMT. Finals admin time is on August 15th at 15.00 GMT. BRACKETS http://thor.detonagames.com.br/tourneys/gow1brackets.html MAPS and SETTINGS To reduce the factor of luck, in all games if a player wants to restart before the 5th minute of the game, the map can be restarted. This restart can be made one time per one game. (This means that another player can't call for restart in restarted game). All other settings are standard except "Victory:Conquest". In the First, second, third and fourth rounds the match must be played in BO3 format and in following order: Arabia (both players civ are Huns) Home map (loser of Arabia chooses both map and civ, he can choose civ war or both players pick civ) Home map (winner of Arabia chooses both map and civ, , he can choose civ war or both players pick civ, but cant choose same map of 2nd game.) In the Fifth round the match must be played in BO5 format and in following order: Arabia (both players civ are Huns) Home map (loser of Arabia chooses both map and civ, he can choose civ war or both players pick civ) Home map (winner of Arabia chooses both map and civ, , he can choose civ war or both players pick civ, but cant choose same map of 2nd game.) Ultra random (player who is losing after first 3 maps chooses civ which is allowed on this map (Vikings, Huns, Mayans, Mongols. NOTE THAT IF ULTRA RANDOM WAS ALREADY CHOOSEN AS HOME MAP THEN CIV CANT BE SAME)). Arena (all civs are allowed and civs can be different). In the Finals (will decided the champion, second, third, and fourth spots) the match must be played in BO5 format and in following order: Arabia (both players civ are Huns) Home map (loser of Arabia chooses both map and civ, he can choose civ war or both players pick civ) Home map (winner of Arabia chooses both map and civ, , he can choose civ war or both players pick civ, but cant choose same map of 2nd game.) HOME MAPS LIST Players can choose home map (and civ) from the following list: Arabia (Aztecs, Celts, Byzantine, Mayans, Huns, Mongols, Chinese, Teutons) Ultra Random v4 (Vikings, Huns, Mayans, Mongols) Regicide Fortress (all civs are allowed and civs can be different) Arena (all civs are allowed and civs can be different) Scandinavia, Baltic, Mediterranean, Migration, Mongolia, Highland, Rivers, Team Islands (Britons, Byzantine, Persians, Mayans, Mongols, Vikings) Players can choose both map and civ, but it can't be chosen when both map and civ set is already fixed map. PRIZES IGZ POINTS #1 - 100 points #2 - 75 points #3 - 50 points and banners. ADDITIONAL RULES #1. Cheating is PROHIBITED. Players using any kind of cheating (including smurfing) or not following the rules will be disqualified and banned from all Thor tournaments; #2. Each person can play in the tournament using only ONE nickname. If a player is caught using more than 1 nickname in the tournament, he will be disqualified and banned from all Thor tournaments; #3. In case of disconnections, the game must be restored right after the drop. If restoring is not possible, the tourney admin (Thor_OdiN___) should be informed and a final decision will be taken after all the facts are checked/cleared by the tournament admins; #4. All the recorded games must be posted right after the match played by the winner, in the correct Forum (with correct topic title - example: GOW R1 Thor_OdiN___ vs Thor_SpawN___). The recorded games must be posted separately in one topic. The files MUST be renamed in the following format before they are posted: GOW R1 Player A vs Player B-Map.mgx. DO NOT post all the games compressed into a single file. The restarted game also must be renamed and posted in following format : GOW-Round-Player A vs Player B-Map(reset game).mgx . #5. In case of restored games, a screenshot proving that the game was finished must be posted instead of the recorded game. #6. If a game is not recorded, then it must be replayed (this doesn't apply to dropped games, where the recorded game isn't available after the game restore); #7. Rules and settings can be added/modified at any time; #8. Patch C must be used in all matches; #9. All the games must be played on IGZ (www.igzones.com); #10.
